Whole Foods Market – Bryant Parkby metalbtqin Architecture, Generalon Posted on November 9, 2019December 5, 2022 Whole Foods is everything one could want in a grocery store, and they are definitely one of our preferred clients. Their stores truly cater to their customers, offering a wide array of amenities such as a full service coffee shop, pizzeria, their signature Market Burger, cafe seating, etc. We worked on their flagship store in NYC, which is located on the Avenue of the Americas, right across from Bryant Park. The 32,000 sq ft store sits in an impressive building that is also home to Salesforce, Tourneau, and a Subway Station. We provided our Slimline Steel system for this store. Whole Foods selected our blackened steel with a semi gloss finish. We installed steel and glass wall partitions at various locations throughout the space, including their cafe seating area. This project had a lot of unique details, including some individual steel windows with a hand applied custom green paint at the Butcher Shop, ornamental steel framing at the Pizza Parlor, and divided glass partitions with curved top grids at the Bakery. At one of the larger eateries, we installed a steel transom assembly that featured grid kits with wire glass, which was a nice differentiation from the standard insulated and monolithic glass that was installed in other areas. We also installed a glass clerestory on the upper level of the store. This was an exciting project for us! It allowed us to showcase many of our custom capabilities and gave us the opportunity to work with such a highly regarded brand as Whole Foods. Let Metal Boutique help give your brand the unique look it deserves.
