New York City is known for many things, one of the most notable being its impressive architecture. Massive structures of metal, concrete and glass stretch high into the iconic skyline.
While we have worked on many projects in NYC, one of our feature projects to date was the Park Avenue Tower. Park Avenue is easily one of the most recognizable streets in NYC. The building is located in the Plaza district of Midtown, Manhattan, an area that is home to Grand Central Terminal, The St. Regis and other luxury hotels, high end retail, and historic buildings such as The Chrysler. The area is rich in history and culture, yet also houses some of the most elite businesses and financial institutions.
We had the opportunity to work on this prestigious project with the general contractor Shawmut Design and Construction. Gonzalez Architects designed the sleek, modern space, and our custom steel partitions were a natural fit for their desired aesthetic.
Park Avenue Tower tenants have access to incredible amenities, as well as stunning views of Central Park and the NYC skyline. We provided steel and glass walls at The Club on their concourse level. This space offers a lounge area, a business and conference center, and an elite fitness and wellness center, among other perks.
Most interior glass walls are made with aluminum; at Metal Boutique we believe that glass wall systems can be made unique by using steel instead of aluminum. In this particular project, we used a blackened steel finish, which created a nice contrast with the warm lighting of the space, to give it both a modern, yet inviting vibe.We also provided a privacy film for some of their conference rooms, to create a more discreet gathering space, while still allowing light to transmit through the glass walls.
We are proud to be a part of the Park Avenue Tower transformation. Follow along to see what we do next!
